BASS:
Grid imprint Zombie signs SFR, releases new DNB tracks
Press Release
Another release, another continent as the Grid family continues to grow
-- we welcome SFR
to the fold, all the way from Cape Town, South Africa. This producer
has been working away on his beats for a few years now, and with
releases already on the legendary Trouble on Vinyl, he comes highly
recommended.
Fitting straight
into the Zombie ethos of serious dance floor action SFR delivers the
goods in fine style. "Confi’don" starts off with a dancehall tinged
intro and a huge rolling kick and snare. The intro filters out to make
way for a big lfo bassline which twists and turns with naughty old
skool jungle effects weaving in and out of the mix.
On Visions SFR hooks up with Hyphen and takes the dancehall flavours,
and builds a floaty roller around it. In complete contrast to the
urgency and dancefloor mania of Confi’don, "Visions" is one to kick
back and let wash over you. Tough warm breaks combine with echoed vocal
and reggae stabs.
SFR not only delivers in the studio, his talent carries over to the
decks with his exceptional crowd control and ability to create dance
floor momentum which has seen him relocate to London recently and
embark on European tour at the end of 2007.
The journey starts here, this is name we have no doubt you’ll be seeing
more of!
