Starkillers is back with new album, DVD ‘Nervous Nitelife: Vegas’
New York City underground House music label Nervous Records announced
it’s teaming up with US-based DJ/production/remix team Starkillers and Austin Leeds
on a new album and DVD "Nervous Nitelife: Vegas." Their collaborative
CD is packed with exclusive Starkillers & Austin Leeds’ original
productions and remixes.
Starkillers, also
known as Nick Trinova (pictured left), got critical and commercial
success with last
year’s club hit "Discoteka," which many DJs worked into their sets from
San Francisco to Holland. He also remixed Paul
Oakenfold's "Sex & Money" last year, among other
projects. Nervous Nitelife: Vegas provides an up to the
minute account of what Starkillers and Leeds are all about, with the CD
highlighting the DJs’ mixing skills.
Terranova and Leeds stepped up to the plate and created a CD that is
heavy on their own exclusive productions and remixes, while a companion
DVD provides insight into both the artists and the Las Vegas clubbing
scene.
The CD starts out on a slow tribal journey through the NYC underground
with Starkillers and Austin Leeds remixing House music diva Joi
Cardwell’s "Keep Coming Around" before a dash of bubbly electro
enters
the fray with David Tore and DJ Ruff meet Angel Frutos’ "LA Girls."
Next, Starkillers and Terranova add an electro-rock edge to Hardrox’s
"Freel The Hardrock" and then unveil their own new side project Pimp
Rockers with the anthem vocal track "Crave You" featuring Deanna. Cube
Guys remix Ralph Falcon’s
newest #1 Billboard smash "Break You,"
leading into the double whammy of Nick Terranova’s own rocktronic
"Breakaway" feat. Steve Bertrand.
As the album approaches the finish line, the intensity and BPMs pick up
steadily with Nick Terranova & Austin Leeds’remix of D.0.N.S &
DBN featuring Kadoc’s
"The Nightrain" and the duo’s own original
track "Come Alive" featuring Steve Bertrand.
Nervous Nitelife: Vegas-branded events with Starkillers & Austin
Leeds will take place across North America throughout the spring and
summer months, the record label said in a press release.
Nervous Nitelife: Vegas is released May 20, 2008 on Nervous Records.
