Danielle Younge-Ullman hits San Francisco in support of novel ‘Falling
Under’
Debut author Danielle Younge-Ullman
saw her raw, dark novel "Falling Under" published by Penguin Group
imprint Plume today (July 30), and readers can meet her this week in
San Francisco where she’s slated to sign copies at several venues.
Later in August she’s hosting launch parties in New York City and
Toronto.
Described as a
sexually charged story of a young woman struggling for freedom from a
painful, tortured past, "Falling Under" tells the story of Mara Foster,
a painter in her late twenties who lives alone and is haunted by her
teenaged affair with an older man and the tragic loss of her college
boyfriend. So is any of this biographical?
"I’m someone who made it to my mid-twenties without realizing I was a
mess inside," said Danielle in a press release. "I seemed fine but
under the surface I was anxious, plagued with strange fears and making
poor choices in my personal life."
Danielle, a playwright and actor from Toronto, Canada, who previously
debuted her play, "7 Acts of Intercourse," at Toronto’s SummerWorks
festival in 2005, has several promotional stops in San Francisco this
