WORD: Boxing champ McCullough’s bio.
‘Don’t Quit’ released
World champion boxer Wayne
McCullough’s biography Don’t
Quit (Mainstream Publishing) was launched on November 10, the
author said.
McCullough is one of the few European boxers campaigning in the U.S.,
and legendary trainer Eddie Futch
once guided him to a professional world title. McCullough lives in Las
Vegas, where he lost a world title bout to Oscar Larios of Mexico earlier this
year.
Don’t Quit traces McCullough’s roots in Belfast, Ireland, where he won
an Olympic silver medal, to his recent controversial fights, in which
he’s defied a ban by the British Boxing Board of Control after an MRI
revealed a brain cyst while undergoing tests for a rare offshore fight.
McCullough is in Ireland this week doing a publicity tour that includes
several television shows.
"I’ve been doing
photo shoots, interviews on TV and radio and signing autographs but I’m
loving every minute of it," he said. "Everyone I have spoken to have
said they love the book - and that’s mainly been journalists. So that’s
a good thing."
