BASS: See Trance DJ John Digweed free in San Francisco

John Digweed, one of our very favorite Trance music DJs, will play at San Francisco club Ruby Skye on Friday, August 31 in what’s sure to be one of The City’s most fantastic shows this year. Digweed is touring North American in support of his new mixed album "Transitions Vol. 3," slated for release Sept. 18. Want to get in free?

The show kicks off with Tribal House and Dub DJ Kazell, a UK transplant who has relocated to Los Angeles, beginning at 9 pm. The upstairs lounge will have Jonathan Williams spinning Hip Hop and Downtempo. Ruby Skye is located at 420 Mason Street. Free ticket winners will be announced via e-mail on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

John Digweed became one of the world’s most recognized DJs in the late 1990s along with partner Sasha. A widespread interest in a style of up-tempo Electronic music driven by melodies and pumping beats shot the British DJs to global fame along with peers such as Paul Van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold.

While Sasha began focusing more on Downtempo Electronic music since the duo’s split after their legendary "Delta Heavy" tour, Digweed has continued bringing his uptempo style to audiences in every continent through his prolific touring schedule and the release of his solo mixed albums.
