BASS: Volko and Prohypnol drop hardcore DNB, techno bass

Hungarian record label Black Hoe Alimony announced its latest Drum & Bass releases Project:V8 is ready to conquer the global DNB and techno scenes. Two thirds of the brand new Hungarian formation -- Volko and Prohypnol -- appear with two serious cutthroat tunes.

'Full Circle' has got everything what V8 stands for. After a landlady's squalling entrance, howling hardcore techno bass combined with metallic kicks takes the place of bodeful melodic opening pads, creating a spellbinding section to go with the "amen" part of the composition.

The beginning of 'Grenadine,' with its aggressive hardcore-like kicks and distorted ribbons of voices, foreshadows a potential digital hell. Both of the halfstepish first period and the second one consummate a solid techstep tune flavoured with acidic gurgle.
