DeFiore and Co. expands to mid-size agency
Edited Press release
DeFiore and Company announced a major expansion with the addition of
four new agents, Debra Goldstein,
Laura Nolan, Matthew Elblonk and Karen Gerwin. Agency founder Brian DeFiore said the expansion
means the firm "is now a solidly mid-size agency.
The four agents
moving to DeFiore and Co. were formerly of the agency The Creative
Culture, founded in 1998 by Ms. Goldstein and Mary Ann Naples, who
recently joined the start-up e-commerce site OpenSky. They joined
current DeFiore and Co. agents Laurie Abkemeier, Kate Garrick, Adam
Korn and Adam Schear back in March.
With nine agents and additional support staff, New York City-based
DeFiore and Co. is now a solidly mid-size agency with a broad list of
non-fiction and fiction authors for adults and young adults, DeFiore
said in a press release.
Clients that the four new agents bring to DeFiore and Co. include
Lauren Conrad (LA CANDY) , Danica McKellar (MATH DOESN'T SUCK), SARK
(SUCCULENT WILD WOMAN), Stacy Morrison, Lou Paget, MJ Ryan, Frances
Cole Jones, Dr. Neal Barnard, and Gesine Bullock-Prado among others.
